Cozy Weekend Brunch Pairings for Cooler Days
Share
Saturday and Sunday mornings look a little different around here — slower, warmer, and built around our weekend brunch menu. As the weather cools off, a few pairings keep coming up again and again with our regulars.
Eggs Benedict + Maple Cortado. The richness of the hollandaise and the toasted brioche calls for something not too sweet, and the light maple in a cortado cuts right through it without competing.
French Toast + Spiced Dirty Chai. Two warmly spiced things sound like they'd clash, but they don't — the chai's spice picks up on whatever's in the syrup, and the espresso keeps it from feeling like dessert for breakfast.
Avocado Toast + Iced Oat Latte. Not every fall morning needs to be hot and spiced. A cold, creamy oat latte alongside something savory and bright like avocado toast is a nice contrast on the warmer weekend afternoons we still get in Staten Island this time of year.
Mimosas, always. Some things don't need a fall update. If you're settling in for a longer weekend brunch with friends, a round of mimosas alongside whatever you order is never a bad call.
Our full weekend brunch menu runs Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 6pm and 8am to 4pm respectively. Come hungry, stay awhile — the patio's still open.
